Does the man who lives on P– Road, down there on the Little P– River floodplain, you know, the man with the sign on his fence that reads “Support Our Troops Freedom is More Than A Word” and a homemade skull and crossbones cut from a plastic picnic plate tacked up on the poplar tree, does he know that just down the road from his house there grows an excellent specimen of Cicuta maculata, about which I read once that a piece of the root of which, the size of a marble, if ingested, can kill an adult human in about a half an hour? Does he know this?
