Too Absent Herald

I am trapped in a classroom full of fourth graders.
The other day I had something or other up on the board and I asked “Does this ring a bell with anyone?”
Silly me. I am not so old that I do not know who 50 Cent is, but I did realize that there is, in fact, a great gap between me and them when Deven said “But Mr. Gammon, I don’t have a bell to ring.”
